On Day 9 of the EiF Road Trip, the team enjoyed some tennis, explored the San Antonio River Walk area, and rested up for a big day tomorrow!
Day 9 of our trip began quite early, as we woke up to watch the Wimbledon Women’s Final at a restaurant near our hotel. I am a massive tennis fan and look forward to watching one of my heroes, Roger Federer, go for his 8th Wimbledon title tomorrow. Roger is a class act; he is not only a brilliant player, but also a gentleman and a true role model for kids around the world. Furthermore, he should serve as a good example to other athletes across all sports when it comes to behavior both on and off the court. For those of you wondering if this has all of a sudden became “Everything Is Tennis,” don’t worry, back to the road trip! We left Dallas shortly after lunch and drove down to San Antonio in what ended up being the most enjoyable drive of the trip so far – the roads were fantastic and the scenery was beautiful. After arriving in San Antonio and doing some podcast preparation for tomorrow’s live EiF Show, we headed out to explore the famous River Walk area and grab some dinner. I think it’s safe to say that, of all the cities I’ve visited so far in this trip, San Antonio is the most unique one (those of you who enjoy Westworld might get that type of vibe from the city if you ever come to visit). Tomorrow we check in to the beautiful JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa, where we will be staying for the remaining night we have in San Antonio. We will make sure to post plenty of pictures for those of you looking for your next weekend getaway! As if a day at a resort wasn’t good enough already, we are also going to be attending the final match day of Group C matches. With the games being in San Antonio and Mexico in action, the atmosphere is sure to be something else! I can safely say that I don’t believe this match will end 0-0, as some that we’ve been to unfortunately have. Tune in to tomorrow’s blog to hear our thoughts on the games, the resort, and much more!
