Gameweek 8: The Fantasy Guru’s Are Back

After yet another boring international break, the Premier League, and more importantly, FPL, is returning.  Let’s see who the Fantasy Guru’s think you have to add to your squad before the Saturday deadline…

Guru Omri Gal

Must Have: Hector Bellerin (6.5)p98745

Get ready for a big week from the flying Spanish fullback. Arsenal have been looking solid
at the back, and with a games against Swansea, Boro, and Sunderland coming up, Bellerin looks primed to pick up those valuable clean sheet points, not to mention the high potential for assists in those matches.

Must Have: Kyle Walker (6.0)

p58621

Another defender I brought in this week. Tottenham have been superb, coming off an impressive victory of Manchester City. Playing against West Brom this week and Bournemouth next week, Walker has high potential to record clean sheet points.

Guru Jesse Kusimba

Must Have: Marko Arnautovic (7.2)

Despite a tough start to the season for both Arnautovic and Stoke, Potters fans p41464will breathe a sign of relief after taking a glance at their upcoming fixture list.  Stoke have the pleasure of meeting with struggling Sunderland, Hull, and Swansea in the upcoming weeks, not to mention a combined 12 Fixture Difficulty Rating in their next 7 matches according to FPL. Fresh off of a double against European Championship semi-finalists Wales over the international break, expect Arnautovic to begin to return to his last season form.  He is also owned by only 1.1% of all FPL owners, so snap him up early to gain full advantage of those valuable differential points.

Must Have: Dele Alli (8.2)

After Dele’s breakout season last year, he established himself as p108823one of the must haves in FPL.  He has endured a difficult start to the season, although Spurs have been flying.  The emergence of his teammate, Heung-Min Son has caused Alli’s price to fall, however, this fall in price coincides with his rise in form, as we saw two weeks ago with his performance against Man City.  His ownership has fallen to 6% and with fixtures against West Brom and Bournemouth coming up, pick up Alli before those who dropped him get him back into their sides.

Watchlist: Troy Deeney (7.1)

The Watford Captain has been having a great start to the season, p41725already racking up 30 Fantasy Points.  He has been in impeccable form in recent weeks, netting 3 in his last 4 Prem matches, not to mention he is the first choice penalty taker. At 7.6% ownership, he provides a slightly more expensive 3rd striker option, but with matches against Boro, Swansea, and then Hull coming up, he is almost certain to find the net in the coming weeks and help you climb the table in your league.

Watchlist: Christian Benteke (7.6)

The big Belgian has been a wonderful signing for Palace so far as p54861he is hitting form with 3 goals in his last 4 Premier League matches, and 6 in his last 5 overall after an emphatic hatter for Belgium over the international break. Benteke has won the most headers in the division this season and Palace has delivered more crosses than any other side.  Throw in Andros Townsend, who has whipped in the most crosses in the league, and Jason Puncheon, who has created the most chances in the league and you have a recipe for goals, most of which Benteke is sure to be on the end of.
